Valuing People Now Cabinet

The role of the Valuing People Now Cabinet is to co-ordinate the work of the 6 Delivery Groups, make sure that agreed actions are happening and to prepare for the Kent Learning Disability Partnership Board meetings.

The VPN Cabinet is made up from the Co-chairs (a lead KCC officer and a person with a learning disability) from each of the Delivery Groups as well as 3 family carers from the District Partnership Groups.

There are 2 Co-chairs of the VPN Cabinet – the Director of Learning Disabilities and Mental Health (KCC) and a person with a learning disability.

The VPN Cabinet reports to the Kent Learning Disability Partnership Board this includes

  • An annual self-assessment report
  • Delivery Group progress on targets
  • The District Partnership Group’s District Plans
